FEESWhat is Immigration Cost Recovery? Immigration services offered by Canadian Government offices abroad and in Canada are subject to a processing fee. This fee is non-refundable regardless of the outcome of the application. Method of Payment 1. Applications mailed to our office The fee accompanying ALL applications made by post must be paid by a Bank Draft / Bank Cheque in Canadian Dollars, and can be purchased at most major banks, DO NOT SEND CASH through the post. This draft should be made payable to: RECEIVER GENERAL FOR CANADA A bank draft / cheque is a cheque issued by a bank payable to a person, in this case the Receiver General for Canada. The name of the Canadian bank that will pay the Receiver General for Canada will be written on the cheque. The draft / cheque must clear on a bank in Canada. Please write your name and address on the reverse of your bank draft. In some countries banks will provide the service of forwarding your processing fee (bank drafts / cheque, etc) directly to this office, please ensure this is not done and that your fee accompanies your application. If your application is received at this office without the processing fee attached, it will be returned to you. 2. Applications made in person at our office The fee accompanying applications made in person at our office for Temporary Resident Visas or Travel Documents can be paid in cash in Canadian Dollars OR UK Pounds Sterling. The exact money is required, no change is given. You may also pay by bank draft in Canadian Dollars 3. Applications submitted to the Drop Box Service Applications for Permanent Residence, Study Permits, Work Permits and Temporary Resident Visas made in person may only be delivered by hand to our “drop box” facility on the ground floor of our London office and must be accompanied by bank draft/cheque in Canadian Dollars made out as above. No other form of payment will be accepted.
