TEMPORARY WORKER APPLICATIONS

CAMP COUNSELLORS

In order to process a work permit application we will require the documents indicated below and a non-refundable processing fee. Please submit the documents by mail to this office as soon as possible. If you are not a permanent resident of the United Kingdom or are unable to submit all the required documentation, a personal interview may be required. Should an interview be necessary in order to proceed with your application, you will be notified in writing.

Camp counsellors must qualify in one of the following 3 ways:

1) have an offer of employment which has been confirmed by a Human Resource Centre in Canada.

2) fall under the Charitable Worker category. Please see the Charitable Worker page for more information on charitable workers.

3) belong to the Working Holiday Programme C. Please see the Working Holiday page for more information.
 

1.  Application form - Each applicant must submit a fully completed and signed application FORM (IMM1295B) which should include a day time telephone number.

2.  Processing Fee - Basic fee $150 per application for work permit. See the FEES page for full information on the processing fees which apply to you.

When posting your application, DO NOT SEND CASH.  IT WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. The fee must be paid by bank draft in Canadian Dollars and can be purchased at most major banks. This draft should be made payable to:

RECEIVER GENERAL FOR CANADA

Please write your name and address and telephone number on the reverse of your bank draft. 

We can only accept a bankers draft in Canadian Dollars or postal orders in UK pounds sterling for applications made in person at our office for Work Permits.  No cash will be accepted.

This fee is non-refundable regardless of the outcome of your application.

3.   Passport - Those who are citizens of the following countries are not required to submit their passport, but must provide a copy of the identity page.

Citizens of the following countries are exempt from the visa requirement: Andorra, Antigua and Barbuda, Australia, Austria, Bahamas, Barbados, Belgium, Botswana, Brunei, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Israel (National Passport holders only), Italy, Japan, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Mexico, Monaco, Namibia, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Papua New Guinea, Poland, Portugal, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent, San Marino, Singapore, Solomon Islands, South Korea, Spain, Swaziland, Sweden, Slovakia, Slovenia, Switzerland, United Kingdom (see below*), United States, and Western Samoa;

*British Citizens, British Dependent Territories Citizens (except Hong Kong), British Nationals Overseas, British Overseas Citizens entitled to re-admission to the United Kingdom are not required to submit their passport.

4.   Two passport sized photographs of yourself.  Please write your name on the back.

5.  Education: Evidence of your qualifications to undertake the employment being offered in Canada. This could be copies of any relevant educational qualifications or details of any relevant employment or volunteer experience (include reference letters).

We recommend you do NOT visit our offices unless you have been called for an interview.
